Job description

Southern Electrical Service

Are you ready to transform spaces and inspire everyday living through innovative lighting solutions? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Join us at Southern Electrical, where we don't just light up rooms—we create environments that enhance and elevate the quality of life.

If you’re a driven, detail-oriented Billing Specialist who’s ready to be part of something bigger, we’re looking for you to join our Leesburg, VA team.

Your New Role:

As our Billing Specialist, you’re not just crunching numbers—you’re the gatekeeper of our financial health. You’ll be handling everything from creating invoices and tracking payments to resolving discrepancies. You’re the hero behind the scenes, keeping the financial engine of Southern Electrical running smoothly. Here’s what you’ll dive into:

  • Collaborating with customers and team members to resolve billing inconsistencies
  • Creating invoices and billing materials
  • Inputting payment history and tracking financial data using accounting software
  • Informing customers of missed or upcoming payment deadlines
  • Calculating and tracking company financial statements

What’s In It For You?

  • Competitive Pay: You’ll be making $40,000–$55,000 annually, depending on your experience.
  • Benefits that have your back: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • Profit Sharing: Quarterly opportunities to see your hard work translate into cold hard cash.
  • Career Growth: We promote from within, provide job training, and have a "no ceilings" mentality.
  • PTO & Holidays: After the probationary period, enjoy your well-deserved time off.
  • Family Vibes: We’ve been family-owned for 60 years and treat our team the same way.

Why You’ll Never Want to Leave:

We’ve built more than a business—we’ve built a home where every team member is valued and supported. Our open-door policy means your voice matters. We believe in work-life balance, and our family-oriented culture makes sure you’re not burning the candle at both ends. We celebrate your wins, support you through challenges, and give you the platform to grow.

This Job Isn't For You If:

  • You don’t like working in a tight-knit, family-like environment.
  • You shy away from problem-solving and prefer to follow rather than lead.
  • You don’t have the discipline to stick to deadlines.

This Job Is For You If:

  • You’re detail-obsessed and love digging into the numbers.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with customers to resolve issues.
  • You want to be part of a company that values you and invests in your growth.
  • You bring experience in Accounts Receivable, Payable, or even construction.

Ready to make an impact? Hit that apply button, and let’s get this show on the road.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
